Fall!

Time seems  like it is flying by so fast- with all the midterms and group projects from school it feels like Halloween was yesterday, i didn't even have time to share all our fall and Halloween pictures before the first snow storm hit.  But, at least i can get them up by the second big snow storm of the year!

The front porch with everyone's pumpkins
Kyle and I, in true Ute fashion had to represent with our pumpkin, so what better than a cute little U!

Lola enjoyed all the crunchy leaves on her walk- it was an endless supply of things for her to jump at and try and eat

But even more than she loved playing in the leaves she loves the snow!  It is so funny to see her different reaction between when she was a tiny puppy to now that she is almost 60lbs!

This was right after she lost her snowball!

The next little bit of snow we got, we unfortunately didn't get to share with Lola, we were out at the Ute game watching them slide around in the snow, even though it was cold it was so much fun- we love seeing our Utes win- especially since now it means they are bowl eligible :)

The last couple weeks have unfortunately led to lots of time inside studying- It has been rough not having as much time to go out and play, but luckily Lola understands that sometimes we have to have quiet study time- she is so funny she likes to curl up under the desk and keep my feet warm

It is so nice to finally have a little time to relax and get ready for Thanksgiving.  This week just as school insanity cooled down a little  poor Lola got 2 different bacteria in her ear giving her an awful ear infections- and unfortunately a hefty vet bill to go with it.  But since Thanksgiving is approaching its time to be grateful, for our wonderful family, that we can afford to have such a beautiful sweet puppy, and that I get to go to PT school (even though it stresses me out)!

Lola and the Black out game

On October 17th Lola graduated from Beginner Puppy Training Class- now that she has graduated she is supposed to be able to:  sit, stay, walk with a loose leash, drop it, leave it, lay down, roll over, shake, not jump on new people that she meets, and play nice with other dogs

Kyle trying to make our graduate hold still for a cute picture

Last night (Oct. 29th)  we went to the the Black out game at the U- we were both very excited for the game so we ended up leaving really early and getting into the stadium an hour and fifteen minutes before kick off

Warm up's

As the game progressed, it was definitely worth our pregame excitement, we were actually winning against a pac 12 team!

And in the end it was fantastic we finally had our first pac 12 victory!

The team singing "Utah Man" to the M.U.S.S after the victory

2 weeks after Lola finished training she decided to prove what a bad student she was!  After we went grocery shopping we left some banana's on the counter (only slightly within Lola's reach) She decided that they were her new favorite play thing- and she was being so funny with them we decided to take pictures instead of yelling at her.  Also this week we are pretty sure Lola stole, managed to turn off and hide Natalie's cell phone!
Lola teasing us with the banana's as she ran to hide them

Corn maze and pumpkin picking

Today we went to the Crazy Corn Maze and pumpkin patch to get our Halloween pumpkin and have some fall fun :D
Kyle didn't want to play in the pumpkin field

Our perfect little pumpkin

He was kind of a bugger to pick

At the corn maze- keeping each other safe from the scary things in the corn field

This is what happens when you spend too much time there

Fall is here!

Fall is in the air and what a fall it is.  It seems like between the two of us there is not a free minute- Kyle is always at work or school- and Natalie is at school, work, and her internship at the neurologic outpatient clinic at the U.  School is so crazy lots of special tests and functions to learn- and unfortunately Kyle makes an awful practice patient!!!
This year has been such a weird year- with hot and sunny to cold and snowy weather and just being insanely busy

We have had a great time watching our Utes play- we had plenty of sunshine for the first 2 football games :)  And were so excited when they crushed the cougars (54-10 baby!)

We also had our first snowstorm a few days ago - it was so crazy from rain to 2 inches of snow in just a few hours.  Lola her second  chance to play in the snow- now that she is big enough to not get completely soaked every time she goes out in it.  While i was cleaning off my car before school she thought it was the greatest thing every- she hopped on the bumper to attack it and loved the snow balls i threw for her and watching the snow fall off the windshield-  even though i hate hate hate the snow, i am slightly excited for our next storm to play with her in the snow again.

It's you

This song just came on itunes, and Kyle has dubbed this our song- and it makes me happy every time I hear it so i had to share:
It's You, by I Hate Kate
Go
Let it go
Let it go
Put it all behind
For you

Show
Let it show
Let it show
That you're not
afraid of this
For you

And there's
only one person
I know
That is worth
all the time in
the world
It's you

Life
This short life
This sweet life
Is all I've got
I've got for you

And there's
only one person
I know
That is worth
all the time in
the world
It's you
It's you

It's you that
makes me feel it
You that makes me
feel so alive
So alive
It's you
It's you

Born
We were born
We were born in
this world of

hope
I hope it's you

And there's
only one person
I know
That is worth
all the time in
the world
It's you
It's you

It's you that
makes me feel it
You that makes me
feel so alive
So alive

It's you
It's you
It's you that
makes me feel it
You that makes me
feel so alive
So alive

Don't call off all
your feelings
And sew off all
your clothes
To forget me
To forget me

All dried up in
this weather
Been tied up
since forever
So let me
Just let me

It's you
It's you
It's you that
makes me feel it
You that makes me
feel so alive
So alive

It's you
It's you
It's you that
makes me feel it
You that makes me
feel so alive
So alive

It's you
It's you
It's you
It's you

An excuse to post more pictures of Lola

Kyle and Lola hanging out
Yesterday we got a new computer- which means we've spent most of the weekend setting it up and playing with it and in between we took turns playing with Lola - and of course taking pictures- its scary to think that if we take this many pictures of our dog what we are going to do once we have a child ( at that point we are going to need a better camera).

Things have been rolling full steam ahead- Natalie finished her first semester of grad school (and got a 3.8)- and now school is back in session, and Kyle started school again too :)

Lola still thinks she's a lap dog

Hott!

The New Universty of Utah collar- Go Utes!!!!
Lola- does not appreciate us going to school and work all the time- she has become very destructive lately but she is ready for football to start (she had a bath) and is sporting her University of Utah collar and matching red name tag!
